India Survive Pakistan Comeback to Reach Asian Games Hockey Final

India are through to the men's hockey final at the Asian Games after surviving a stunning Pakistan comeback in Thursday's semi-final, winning 4-3 after leading 3-0. Pakistan clawed back to level the game at 3-3 before India found a winner in the dying seconds, Abhishek striking with 45 seconds left on the clock.

Head coach Craig Fulton admitted relief rather than satisfaction after the match, unable to be fully happy with a performance that let a three-goal cushion slip before India found a way to close it out. The win keeps alive India's bid for a gold medal that would also seal Olympic qualification.

India now face Malaysia in the final on Saturday, with a place at the 2028 LA Olympics on the line for the winner.
